To celebrate music NFTs as a new music format, OurSong is once again throwing another Music NFT Event on OurSong, taking place this year on Record Store Day April 23, 2022!
Last year on Record Store Day we had a bunch of indie artists and labels involved, so this year we're turning up the volume!
You can find last year's event here:
This year is pretty straightforward:
Artists decide what they wanna release this year, fill out the form, and release the NFT on Record Store Day!
You're free to release anything you want, from live footage, lyric videos, Spotify canvases, demos, BTS footage or photos, 3D models, and more - through Digital Single NFTs and Music Video NFTs are the main formats that gained the most traction on OurSong during the past year.
The only requirement will be to fill out the form below and confirm your release title, and remember to use the hashtag #RSD2022 when making your NFT. The information you provided will go on our official event page and our marketing channels before the event, so make sure there aren't any typos!
OurSong will provide 10 USD to cover the gas fee for each artist attending this year's event, and authenticate your OurSong account as you fill out the form.
* For e.g., if it's a label w/ 4 artists and 5 releases for this year, we'll provide 40 USD.
If there are 10 artists (1 main with 9 feats) who released 1 NFT, that only counts as one though.
Fill out the form below if you wish to participate: (⏰ Submissions are open until: 23:59 April 14, 2022 (GMT+8)
That may stack up to a maximum of 50 OSD per user for this event, meaning that each of you can refer 10 fellow musicians to the party.
The offer only stands for the first 50 valid referrals, so act fast and tell all your friends!

How do I issue my own NFT on OurSong?
Here's a tutorial: https://oursong.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058631732
You should also be able to find out how to schedule your NFT to be available on April 23, 2022 in the tutorial.
How much should I charge for my NFT, and how many NFTs should I make?
It is up to you. However, be honest with what your fan bases or potential customers can afford. Most artists priced their creations around the same as their physical counterparts - $5 to $10 for a single, 15$ to 30$ for more content or so. As for quantity - it's the same logic as making merch, the general rule of thumb will be don't make too much!
Yes - check out the revenue share tab when making your NFT.
Will my NFT creation be on OpenSea, even if I made it on OurSong?
OurSong currently supports creations on Ethereum (ERC), Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and ThunderCore (TT), and you're free to choose the one that suits you the most.
Gas fees and effects on the environment may differ.
However, OpenSea currently supports Ethereum but not the two others, so you will only be able to see your NFT on OpenSea if you created your NFT on the Ethereum blockchain.
Also a heads up that in terms of gas fee, Ethereum is known to be more expensive than the other two though, and 10 OSD might not be able to cover the full cost.
Can I gift an NFT to someone else?
Yes, as long as they have an OurSong account.
Can I upload secret content that only owners of the NFT will be able to see?
Yes - after you make the NFT (which the content will be publicly viewable on the Blockchain), you will have the option to provide additional extra content that only holders of the NFT will be able to see!
What can fans do after getting the NFT ?
NFT collections can be displayed IRL through AR function, or as access to an artist's private club if you have set one up.
