A Collectible License gives the Licensor gives the Licensee permission to use their work for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
The Licensee must credit the Licensor by saying that the work is "A [WORK] by [LICENSOR NAME]" on any copies they make.
However, the Licensee cannot create any remixes using the Licensor's work.
This type of license is useful for musicians who want to license the work for non-commercial purposes, such as personal projects, but don't want anyone else to be able to change or remix their work.
Examples
Share With Friends
A musician creates wants to share a piece of music with friends and family, but does not want it to be used for commercial purposes.
Free Game
A musician creates a track for a free-to-play game and wants the game developer to be able to use it without payment as long as it is not used in a commercial release.
Nonprofit Organization
A musician creates a song for a nonprofit organization to use in their promotional videos, but does not want it to be used by any for-profit entities.
Soundtrack for Non-Commercial Purpose
A musician creates a soundtrack for a short film that is being made by their friend. They want to give their friend permission to use the music in the film, but they don't want others to use it for commercial purposes.
People may choose this option if they want to allow non-commercial / non-remixable use of their music while still receiving credit for their work.
