As creators take root in what has come before and arrange them into their own masterpieces, OurSong is proud to introduce Remixable NFTs, to grant artists an easy way to build upon other artists’ work, and to be credited and compensated when someone builds upon yours.
We’re also launching a Monthly Remix award series, where each month, we take a look at all remixes on OurSong, and celebrate the best artists and creators spearheading this movement with the tools we were privileged to provide.

How to participate
Anyone who contributes to the Remix movement on OurSong is part of this.
To participate, release a Remix based on other creators’ work on OurSong before 2023 arrives, and you’re in.

No.1 in this category gets an Ableton Live, while the top 3 get a year of subscription to Masterclass, where you can up your music skills by learning from the best of the best, including our co-founder John Legend, and lessons from Metallica, Armin van Buuren, Nas, Tom Morello, deadmau5, St. Vincent, Ringo Starr, Carlos Santana, Timbaland, Alicia Keys, and more.

This one goes out to the artist who gained the most heat from their remixes. A SweetWater gift card of $420 will be sent your way, where you’re free to upgrade your music battlestation with everything available on their collection of over 72,000 music products. OurSong Council’s choice
Each month, the OurSong Council will use this category to address a couple of amazing remixes that contributed significantly to our efforts of building a community of awesome artists and remixers.
In addition to this, the Council will also invite a couple of artists to pick out the best remixes that took their beats and made something mind-blowing each month. We will announce the creators we're working with this month at a later date.
Each winner in this category will receive a $100 OSD
Early Bird Awards
To encourage the early birds who dive headfirst into the new world before others, we’ll release a list of top remixers each week before 2022 ends.
The top 3 artists who released the most remixes each week will also get a month of Discord Nitro as well.

Crowned as a champ
Winners get a Trophy NFT and get crowned as a Remix Champion.
Owners of this trophy should able to gain the Remix Champion role in the OurSong Discord via the OurSong bot, and access the channel #we-are-the-chaimpions, where we treat you like Beyoncé you’ll receive exclusive privileges and giveaways from time to time. You also get to take part in the OurSong Council, and nominate and vote on specific contests from time to time.

The above will take place as a raffle in the OurSong Discord.
To qualify, you’ll have to:
- Connect your OurSong account to your Wallet via Wallet Connect.
- Connect your discord account to your OurSong account in the #oursong-verify channel.
- Have created at least 1 remix on OurSong before the raffle draws or before 2022 ends, whichever comes first.
If you win, we’ll ask for your OurSong account in Discord to make sure you qualify ;)

What is a Remixable NFT?
These are pre-loaded remix licenses for the OurSong community to purchase and get creative with. Once purchased, you can use these to create your own hits!
- For musicians, creators, beat-makers, producers, and anyone really: You can now access a pool of great content on OurSong and create your works in an NFT format. No need for lengthy authorization to use or worry about copyright issues.
- If you have a tune, beat, track, or vocals - you can now share it with the OurSong community by turning on the “Remix” setting. This allows people to use creation and ‘remix’ it into something new. Great way to jam with the community and make a buck or two. As you’ll get the revenue split from the remixed derivative creations.
